| Lake Havasu City is a recreation/resort community, the largest city in Mohave County. Home to the famous London Bridge, a tourist attraction crosses a 930 ft long man-made canal, purchased from the City of London in 1968 for $2.5 million. The bridge was disassembled, stones marked, shipped to LHC, and reassembled for another $7 million, opened in 1971.
October- February is "snow bird" season, majority of tourism during these months is retirees from cold weather states. Boating season March-September is a popular student "spring break" destination. LHC is also home to International World Jet Ski Final Races, professional fishing tournaments, boat regattas, pyrotechnics convention, Havasu 95 Speedway, Havasu Triathlon, Half Marathon and many other community events year round.
